Commissioned Art of Fa'quiehja

Commissioned Art of Fa'quiehja

Malcolm Zfnoc finally gets his best friend/ally professional done: I commissioned AR Sullivan to do Fa’quiehja, also the first Fravier done professionally. As seen in my December 2022 art dump, I prepared a lot for this. I wanted it to be of the Fa’quiehja of after Amethyst Shards. Sketch Started off well! Main thing was the addition of the cloak, slight finger shape tweaks, and a change to the outfit. Boom! All looked good! Final And here’s Fa’quiehja! His outfit...

December 2022 in Art

December 2022 in Art

December 2022 was a very productive month as I was attempting to draw daily. I didn't quite make that goal, but I was pretty consistent. Drew a bunch of Angels, focused on Fa'quiehja's form (plus Fravier anatomy), and redrew a few more old sketches.

In the Void: A Short Story on Void Walkers

In the Void: A Short Story on Void Walkers

2022 in Review

2022 was an interesting year. I was able to finish a great deal of old, random projects and try new things after completing Amethyst Shards last year. Anyway, here’s my top seven Spine-related events. #7 More Character Development Spotlights I completed character spotlight posts for Cyclone, King, Spellbinder, and Farrco. Dien is still pending hers and then I’ll be done with the Trinity and the One cast....

Commissioned Art of Kenquaxe!

Commissioned Art of Kenquaxe!

I commissioned AR Sullivan to draw Kenquaxe, a Champion of the Yiusha-Waalar. He is an Ihkbaeloo that wields a set of dark and light forged daggers and wears armor-dresses. He also has white tattoos. I imagined him in a dynamic action pose. He was on my mind more lately and was of a race that hadn’t been professionally drawn yet so I thought…why not? Initial Sketch The pose didn’t work for me, and I wanted some adjustments to the dress....

Book Art: TMOL/TCOD as Spiders

Book Art: TMOL/TCOD as Spiders

Finally got around to making paper mache book art copies of The Madness of Light and The Corruption of Dark. It should be no surprise that they were both made into the form of a spider. Spiders are more complicated than a Clam or a Scorpion, so a wire ‘skeleton’ was used to create their structure before applying paper mache layers around it. I applied multiple rounds of layers onto it to build it up, air drying in between rounds....
